"Be perfect" - Matthew 5:48
the only help God will give me is help towards perfection. I may want something less, I may beg for something less, but He will not settle for anything less out of His perfect love for me.
The meaning of Hagios applies here not American definition of perfection. (Read: holiness , set apartness)
The perfection here is nothing to strive for but it is all about giving in and letting God make me.
